Crab Chettinad



Ingredients:
1. Crab - 3 Pieces (Cleaned and Cut)
2. Ginger Garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
2. Onion - 2 big (finely chopped)
3. Tomato - one small  (finely chopped)
4. Green chillies - 2 pieces
5. Black pepper ( whole ) - 2  tsp
6. Cumin seeds - 2tsp
7. Fennel seeds - 1 tsp
8. Ground Coconut - 2 table spoonful
9. Whole Garam Masala - few  ( Cinamon rolls, cloves, cardamom )
10. Coriander leaves - few ( for garnishing )
11. Salt to taste.
12. Sunflower oil - 5 tablespoon
 
 Preparation: 

* For Marination : In  a bowl, take the crab pieces and add 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, 1/2 tsp salt ana 1 tablespoon ginger and garlic paste. Mix everything and keep it aside fore 10 to 15 minutes.

For Blending : Add 1 big onion chopped, chopped tomatoes, green chillies, black pepper, cumin seeds, fennel seeds,ground coconut and whole garam masala and blend it together like a coarse paste.

Method :

*  Add Oil in the pan.
*  Put the remaining chopped onions and saute it in the oil until it becomes translucent.
*  Add little salt in the onions to make it soft.
*  Add the blend mixture.
*  Add the remaining salt needed for the gravy.
*  Cover it with a lid and allow the mixture to boil for few minutes until the raw smell from the mixture goes.
*  Now add the marinated crab into the mixture and stir it well until all the mixture is coated to the crab.
*  Cover it with the lid and allow it to cook for 10 to 15 minutes.
*  Open the lid and add some more water if you need more gravy and allow it to cook for 5 more minutes.
*  Off the stove and garnish it with some chopped coriander leaves.
