Ingredients :
Potatoes - 5 Large ( boiled ) Skin removed
Shredded cheese - 1 medium cup
chilli powder - 1/2 teaspoon ( optional )
Pepper powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Salt - to taste
Bread crumbs - Sufficient to coat the croquettes
Egg - 2 ( beaten )
Oil - Sufficient ( to deep fry )
Method :
Add the potatoes, shredded cheese, chilli powder, pepper powder, salt and mix it well in a large bowl and make it as a dough. Taste the dough, if the salt and spices are fine , or add if needed.
From the Larger dough, lake little by little and roll it like balls or in the shape which is showed in the picture, and keep it aside.
Keep the bread crumbs in a seperate larger plate, and also the beaten egg in a seperate bowl.
Preparation :
Heat oil in a pan ( sufficient for deep frying )
Now take the rolled potatoes one by one, dip it in the beaten egg, and coat it with the bread crumbs completely and put it in the oil of medium heat.
Repeat the process for all the other rolled potatoes.
Ps : Do not put all the croquettes at a time to fry. Fry few at a time , and fry in turns. until golden brown.
Serve it hot with Tomato Ketchup !
